This is the view north from a point on West Pasture Road shortly before Grassholme Reservoir, Lunedale. Laithkirk chapel can be seen in the centre of the picture in the middle distance; parts of Snaisgill above Middleton in Teesdale a liitle further away and to the right edge of the picture. In the distance is the western side of the Hudes Hope, with (from L>R) Howgill Farm, Hardberry Farm, High Skears with its distinctive spoil heap and finally Club Gill farm standing out in the sunshine.
