The ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle in the distance behind Cullernose Point, an outcrop of Dolerite (Whinstone) foming part of the great Whin Sill which stretches across northern England, on a clear summer day with blue sea and a clear blue sky. Taken from the coastal path at Howick, this is part of the Northumberland Coast AONB
